Discontinued Models
Motorola "Bag Phone"
Motorola historically offered RJ-11 adapters for many of their product lines. The 'Soft-PAK Tote Phone' more commonly referred to as a 'bag phone' is the workhorse product in this category.
By cellular standards the bag phone is a fairly powerful 3 watt cellular telephone that can be attached to an external directional antenna. There have been a few models of the RJ-11 adapter that connect between the handset and the phone base.
This device has been supported for years and is the preferred device by users however it is nearly extinct. Service providers may be hesitant to activate new analog service required by the bag phone.
This device is discontinued and analog service has been discontinued in most areas.
CellDock 1000
CellDock 1000 is a docking station that uses an off-the-shelf handset to emulate a telephone line. It uses a cradle adapter to support a variety of handsets.
The CellDock 1000 is distributed in the US by CellAntenna.com. We have not tested operation of the RFC-1/B with the CellDock 1000.
Charles Industries CellSocket
Charles Industries Marine Group has a device called CellSocket that is a docking station for several models of Motorola wireless phones. A list of compatible models is available from their web site.
A positive feature of the CellSocket is that it provides an external antenna connection. We have not tested operation of the RFC-1/B with the CellSocket.
Kyocera TXDOC00A11
Kyocera makes the TXDOC00A11 docking station for their QCP-3035 cellular phone model only. Information suggests that this device provides only a D type connector for data communications and does not provide the necessary RJ-11 connection. We have not tested the RFC-1/B with this device.
